Reason for meeting :- Cotswold Homes are in the process of purchasing the land known as Duke’s Field. The land is designated as DA_2 (10 dwellings) in the CDC Local Plan 2011-31. A meeting was requested by the Parish Council to obtain some understanding of the proposed timescales, layout of the development, and to allay some of the concerns of nearby residents.
Outcome of Planning committee meeting held on 12th Sept
1. Following outline planning permission being given on 9th May for the reserved matters application to build 44 dwelling at Broadway Farm, the Planning committee requested that the compliance application related to condition 7 ( foul drainage strategy), condition 8 (scheme of drainage), condition 9 ( scheme for surface water attenuation ) should be determined by the committee in order to ensure that the community’s concerns about drainage issues were satisfactorily addressed.

Your Ward Member, David Fowles and I met with Sanctuary Developments last Wednesday to review the situation regarding the development at Broadway Farm.
It was evident until this time that Sanctuary were to go forward with the existing design as they now have consent to do so subject to them having the 'Compliance' matters dealt with at the next planning meeting.

Over the course of several days Ward Councillor David Fowles and DAPC Chairman have had meetings with CDC planning officers ( Cllr. Rob Hughes, Chairman of the Planning committee and Mr. Kevin Field, Senior Planning Officer), GCC Highways Manager and Mr. Jonathan Mullins, Head of Development, Sanctuary Group, to try and resolve the number of issues related to the Broadway farm development and the following report echoes results of those meetings.
